Ashley earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from St. Catherine University in Minneapolis.  She received Bachelors of Arts degrees in Athletic Training and Health Fitness from Gustavus Adolphus College where she was a 4-year member of the dance team.  It was at Gustavus that Ashley first started advocating for dancers to receive better health care, fighting for her dance team to finally be recognized by the college’s athletic department.

Ashley was a competitive studio dancer at Victoria Dance Productions in Edina where she was trained in ballet, tap, jazz, and lyrical.  She was also a member of the Eden Prairie High School dance team competing in high kick and jazz/funk.  At Gustavus, she competed at the national level in jazz and hip hop.  After college, she continued to compete with Summit Dance Shoppe’s young adults team.

Ashley’s own experience with injuries throughout her years of dancing fueled her passion for becoming a dance-focused physical therapist.  She has been an APTA member since 2009 and currently practices in St. Louis Park and Minnetonka.
