Kelly Folwick, B.S. Kinesiology
Conference Committee Co-Chair
Kelly graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She plans to attend graduate school for Physical Therapy in 2018.
Kelly grew up dancing competitively at Dance Arts Centre in Chanhassen where she was also part of the youth ballet company La Danse Fatale. Kelly originally attended the University of Minnesota as a Dance major and switched to Kinesiology after realizing her passion for Dance Medicine. She took dance classes through the UMN Dance Program and various companies in the Twin Cities to continue training. She also spent two months training at Broadway Dance Center in NYC and will take short trips to NYC and LA to train. This fall she plans to attend the International Association for Dance Medicine & Science conference to co-present cardiovascular training programs with MDMF member, Meredith Butulis.
Kelly is very passionate about increasing the accessibility of dance medicine education to young dancers and dance instructors. Kelly has been attending MDMF events for the past four years and is thrilled to be interning with them.
Kelly was the Administrative Intern for MDMF for 2015-2017 and is currently the Conference Co-Chair for 2018-2020.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
