Megin Sabo John, PT, DPT, OCS, LMT

Megin offers Performing Arts Rehabilitation & Physical Therapy in Eagan, MN. Her approach to physical therapy is rooted in manual therapy as well as Pilates for core strengthening. She earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND. She began working with dancers as a licensed massage therapist in 2007 with the Oregon Ballet Theater and worked as a physical therapist intern with the Pittsburgh Ballet Theater in 2011.

As a dancer for more than 25 years, Megin has experience in genres including ballet and modern, traditional African, Lindy Hop swing dancing, clogging, and various circus arts.

Megin is a lead physical therapist for the James Sewell Ballet and seasonally works with high school dance teams and studio competition dancers. She also treats musicians from both the Minnesota Orchestra and the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra.

She presented her doctoral research, Physical Therapy Strategies for Dancers: A Qualitative Study, at the Performing Arts Medical Symposium in 2011 and the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science in 2011. This study was subsequently published in the Journal of Dance Medicine and Science in March 2013. She has been a member of the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science since 2010, the American Physical Therapy Association since 2008, and became a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in 2013.

Megin began attending MDMF events in 2009 and became a professional member in 2013. She has been a volunteer in the MDMF Free Dance Medicine Clinic and was the Conference Committee Chair from 2015-2017.
