Version 2

MDMF Member

Anna Porter is a physical therapist in St. Paul. She has been dancing since she was 8 years old and has combined her loves of dance and physical therapy. Throughout her years of dancing, Anna has had many injuries, and knows how important it is to treat those injuries correctly and to try and prevent future injuries.

She knows the language of dance and how a dancer’s body can differ from a non-dancer’s. Anna graduated with her doctorate in physical therapy from the University of North Dakota in May 2013 and worked in Fargo, ND for two years following graduation. Anna danced with the North Dakota Ballet Company while in physical therapy school and with the FM Ballet while in Fargo. She and her husband moved to the Twin Cities in the fall of 2015, and she is excited to work with this wonderful dance community. She is also a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science.
