Maryann Johnson, P.T.
Maryann graduated from University of Minnesota with a BS in Physical therapy. She is currently working for New Heights Physical Therapy in Mendota Heights. She is an accomplished therapist with 23 years experience in orthopedic physical therapy and specializing in the treatment of dance injuries. As a trained dancer and a seasoned performer, Maryann understands dance technique, proper placement and alignment. Working with amateur and professional dancers, Maryann approaches the treatment of dance injuries from a dancer’s perspective.
Maryann continues to teach ballet and dance professionally. Her dance training includes the Classical Ballet Academy of MN, San Francisco Ballet, Joffrey Ballet School, Pennsylvania Ballet School and the Andahazy Ballet School. She is a founding member of Ballet of the Dolls and has performed numerous venues locally.
Maryann is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science.
